The drum mixers of series MIX are designed to mix the materials inlet into the two sealed drums. In particular, plastic granules (beads) are mixed together with colours and with solid or liquid additives. The mixing is operated by drum mixers by means of drums rotation. After the material treatment, each drum can be easily released from its respective supporting ring in order to be transported to the place where the material must be utilized for the production. This drum mixers system allows to contemporaneously prepare two different materials mixtures for the production.
Thanks to the low cost and to the wide availability of the standard sized drums which are utilized by ATEM drum mixers for the mixing, the user can dedicate each drum always at the treatment of one specific type of material and therefore he can avoid the cleaning operations. Moreover, ATEM drum mixers do not have components which can undergo particular wearing or damages or which need particular maintenance; in fact, movement is generated by a simple ratiomotor directly jointed to the drums rotation shaft.
In compliance with the safety standards requirements, ATEM drum mixers are completely protected by a barrier which prevents accidents due to persons contacts with the rotating drums. In fact, suitable safety devices prevent that the drum mixer can function when the barrier is open.
